Biography
Eva Lajoie - 'Silvia Stardust', 'Angel'
My career as an artist began in 2010 after living eleven years in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I moved to the city of Montreal, Canada where I took on many independent projects like music-videos, and promotional modelling. After graduating from Concordia University with a BFA in Film Studies, I moved to Toronto in 2016 where I currently live and work as an erotic dancer, at a strip club in the heart of downtown Toronto. My stage name used to be 'Silvia Stardust', now I go by the name 'Angel'. As an interdisciplinary artist I have experience with modelling, acting, photography, painting, writing and digital design.
Having worked in the sex trade for almost 5 years, my advocacy for Sex Worker rights encompasses a lot of my work, both as a feminist and multimedia artist. I'm someone with a history of trauma from domestic and sexual abuse. Transparency and gentleness are my values. The scope of my creative work involves the exploration of the human psyche and how humans move as a collective. My interests have always been in the intricate or otherwise mysterious connections that make us who and what we are.
